Sample Essay Writing
The graph reveals information on how age influences the use of the Internet among people in a typical country between 1998 and 2000. Each unit is measured in percent.
Apparently, it can be seen that the Internet is very important among the 16 – 30 years old group, with as many as 53% of them using this modern device in 1998, or 12% higher than that of 31- 50 years old group.
Another striking feature is that a remarkable rise in the number of young and old people using the Internet was recorded during this period. In fact, in 1999 around 8% of teenagers liked this high technology, which was four times in comparison with the 1998’s figure.
It is interesting to see but difficult to explain why the proportion of the Internet users fell steadily when people were in their middle-age. It is noticeable that by the end of 2000, just well over 35% of them used the Internet or 5% less than the percentage 2 years ago.
In short, the graph may well reflect changes in popularity of the Internet among people of different ages. While some age group recorded a significant increase in number, others might experience sharp falls.
